She just melts my heart

Yesterday was a pretty amazing day! My granddaughter was born just before 7pm. After over 34 hours of labor, she just wasn't coming out, so they ended up doing a c-section. Mom and baby are doing well. My son,  "new daddy" is over the moon with joy. She is just so perfect and we love her to bits!

There were some complications with her, so she is getting antibiotics through an IV in her belly button.
This little girl just melts my heart. Words cannot express how much joy we have with the newest addition to our family. They should be out of the hospital Sunday or Monday if all goes well.

Thinking about family and what is important

Another whirl wind summer comes to an end and a new school year begins. I think of how life has changed this year and how fast the kids are growing up. Crystal will be going to grade 6, her last year in Elementary School. Mike is going to be a father any day now (due date is tomorrow for Bailey). Kelsey will be leaving to go back to VIU to finish her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. They grow up so fast. So my advice is to not sweat the small stuff and make time to enjoy the moments you have with your family. So that is why I am intentionally having "Jessee House Rules".
